Series 4 Examination-Registered Options Principal
Purpose
Any person who supervises a firm's options transactions with the public must qualify as a Registered Options Principal.
The Examination
The examination is composed of 125 multiple choice questions. A maximum of three hours is allowed. The candidate must score at least 70% to receive a passing grade.
The examination may be taken at any Prometric Sylvan Testing Center.
Study Program
Upon enrollment, the candidate is provided with study material. It is composed of a lesson book that covers all areas to be tested and a set of practice examinations with complete explanations.
The candidate must devote approximately 40 hours of study time to these materials.
Classes
A one-day review class is held once each month. The class is from 10:0 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The candidate should complete the study materials prior to attending the review class.
We recommend that the candidate schedule the Series 4 examination a few days after the class.
The study program can also be completed on a correspondence basis rather than attending the one day review.
